CUBA Libra Ron Nancy Tom & Dee

Memories:
Don’t believe Rick, (Jacki’s dad, Meg’s man). He told us to go sCuba diving and we damn near died! He told us supper at the International Lugana was bad; mine was the best meal of the week. It helped to have Mo (Bo) and Sue tell us how to order (“after they forget to bring the garlic butter for your lobster, ask for it again”) Turns out Mo and Sue were government officials I’d looked up to when I was a public servant. Bo is Director of Investigations, and Ron of asis didn’t talk Investigations with him.

Meeting new friends was a highlight of the trip for me: I won’t forget birthday boy Jason, born on Valentines Day. It was our last day on Cuba before we uncovered that his “birthday gift” girl Holly was a proud member of Canada’s Armed Forces at Trenton. Do you remember Kate, Andrew and son Jack from Birmingham England? How about the Catamaram kid, Blaine Baker and his 25 bride Helen, who reminded us of common origins in Malartic. It’s a Small world, Short! Ron and Julie were on the bus coming to the hotel and on the bus leaving, what did they do in their rooms in between?

15 new friends and Frankie Avalon and Jakarta Jackie on the tours left fond memories. Worker bees, Barbara on the beds and Edourdo and Julio in the garden made it beautiful . Musical memories of “Guantanamarrow” for the fourteenth time reminds me of the shows.
